A groups of donkeys decided one day that they had enough of the lion being the king of the jungle. Therefore, they conspired to overthrow the lion and become the new rulers. They followed the lion one day, and saw the lion removing his fake beard and teeth. This shocked the donkeys as they now knew that the lion’s terror was all fake. So they decided to steal his beard and teeth.
Before the lion woke up, they went into his cave, and picked up his pair of teeth and beard. In order to overpower other animals, each donkey put on the lion’s teeth on their legs, and some of beard on their heads. This way they declared themselves the new rulers of the jungle.
While they were dressing up as the new rulers, a hyena saw what this bunch of donkeys was up to. When the donkeys left, in order to make the declaration that they were the new rulers, the hyena picked up the remaining pieces of teeth and fit them along with this own teeth, and put the beard on his chin. He also then, followed the donkeys. When the donkeys gathered the crowd of animals, they said, “We are now the new rulers, and you all shall now be afraid of the teeth on our legs and the beard on our heads…..”. A squirrel interrupted and said, “What do you think we are? some sort of dumb animals who don’t know what crap you bunch of donkeys are trying to pull on us?” . Gradually all the animals starting making noise and disapproved of the new rulers. Then suddenly, the hyena yelled, “Stop all this noise” and everybody went silent. The squirrel again yelled, “Now that is what I call a royal king……royal sharp teeth, long beard, all the signs of a true ruler….” and every animal started to cheer as they now realised, that their true ruler had arrived. So putting the teeth and the beard at the right place, made the hyena, the new king of the jungle or did it?
That was partly the reason of his being the new king, but it was also because the squirrel was friends with the Hyena, and he was
bribed into saying the things he did. And as promised to the squirrel, he was made the new prime minister. The squirrel was unhappy at his post, so one day while the hyena was sleeping, he hid the teeth and the beard. He opened his mouth wide, and went inside his mouth and put in red ants who bit the hyena very badly, resulting in his death. While the squirrel was coming out of the hyena’s home, he was stamped upon by an Elephant. In the mean time, the lion ordered a new set of teeth and beard. So eventually, the lion became the king of the jungle again. Therefore, dirty politics of the animal world could not take away from the lion, his well-deserved role as the king of the jungle.
