Hank, the handsome horse, had really long wavy hair. He looked like a dream, when he ran and the wind would blow through his long hair, making all the females stare. Needless to say, he did endorse a particular brand of shampoo and conditioner. He was rich and famous and all because of his hair. All the other males in the farm didn’t, think much of him, just a “hairy” horse, they would call him.

One day, a toothpaste company approached him, saying that they would make his teeth really white and would then like to make him their brand ambassador. He agreed, after all what was wrong with endorsing another brand, and becoming even richer? The advertisement for the toothpaste was really well received in the market, and Hank was the new face for every new advertisement, you could see him endorsing anything and everything, from toothpicks to glasses, from toilet paper to soft drinks. He was one famous horse, until the night he met Sylvia, the gorgeous white unicorn. She was, what you would call, the female out there. Hank, totally enamored by her beauty, followed her into the woods. After following her for sometime, he asked her to stop. She turned around and looked at him. He asked her to be with him forever, and for always. She declined and walked away saying that she didn’t like horses who couldn’t keep their heads together. It broke his heart, and he ended up in a bar, drinking all night.

He woke up, his head had been shaved, his teeth had been blackened with a black marker. A bunch of mice had found him lying outside the bar, and they wanted to destroy him because they believed that his good looks had led their women astray. So it was them, who took away his beauty. So much for beauty, he thought to himself. The hair, he thought would grow, the teeth, he thought the marks would go away in a day, but until then he could not make a public appearance, as it would spoil his image in the market. He stayed locked up in his apartment for two months, thinking about that night he had met Sylvia, about how she inspired him to look inside himself. He thought, that was too difficult, so he just thought of regaining his looks and becoming famous again.

He stayed away from the market for two months, newspapers were contemplating that he was probably dead. He had no news from the outside world, but one day after he thought that he looked reasonably good, he clicked a few pictures of himself and decided to go to a couple of advertisement agencies.

He stepped out, and the world was a shock to him. Everywhere, he saw, no billboards of him, no advertisements of him. He had been put off the market. The new face was, Sylvia, the new face for every company, every billboard. She was the new Hank. She was the want, the need of the market. Every agency he went to had already signed up with her. She had blasted his career into pieces. He retreated to the mountains, where he was just a “hairy” horse, where he was alone, where he was the only judge for himself.
