There was a young Kangaroo named Shera and he loved to jump a lot, he would always jump more than his father, Shammy. One day after loads of jumping Shera went home and demanded that his mother give him fresh milk. Shera’s mother told him that he was a big boy now and that he didn’t need his mother’s milk. Shera was upset to hear this, so he wandered off in the jungle shouting at the top of his that he wanted milk, and wanted it right then.
A chameleon was lingering on a nearby branch of tree when she heard Shera calling out for milk. The chameleon graciously offered Shera with some milk, but Shera refused saying, “ Are you kidding? Chameleons can’t produce milk, they’re not mammals! You’re obviously taking in delight in my misery, aren’t you? you evil, green creature! Now get away from me.” However the milk that the chameleon was offering was the milk of a cow that she’d stolen in order to make some kind of Russian drink.
Shera, angry and disappointed, kept walking through the jungle shouting for milk. It started to rain and Shera just wanted milk. He was very tired of walking around the jungle, so he sat down and almost fell asleep when a bird flew by shitting in his mouth. Shera woke up with a weird taste in his mouth, but it did look like milk and so he was happy that he’d finally received some milk. He jumped in joy, shouted out aloud how happy he was. He was overwhelmed and in his excitement he ended up hitting his head with a branch of tree. He was still shouting and screaming with joy when he finally collapsed after hitting his head.
Meanwhile, Shammy grew anxious of where his little son had wandered off to. Shera’s mother insisted that Shammy go and look for Shera. So, Shammy went into the jungle, calling out for Shera. After a long search, Shammy saw Shera lying on the ground, unconscious though murmuring about his joy for finally getting some milk. Shammy thought to himself that his son had been drinking, and that too at a very young age. Regardless, Shammy took Shera home, to his mother and told her that Shera had been drinking and that he found him passed out, lying on the ground.
It had been almost a day and Shera still didn’t fully recover from hitting his head hard and was still whispering and murmuring about his happiness of getting the milk. Shera’s mother grew worried and just then a voice from the clouds said, “Those who are worried about their drunk son must go to Kangaruu-Bangaruu Ba Ba in Perth as he cures anyone who comes to him.” Hearing this, Shera was taken to Perth in order to meet the Ba Ba, and be cured. The Ba Ba flatly denied saying that in the matter he couldn’t be of any help to Shera.
Shera’s parents were on their way home when another voice from the sky said, “ Those who came from Melbourne to Perth in order to get their son cured by the Kangaruu-Bangaruu Ba Ba must now go to Colorado and search for blue-eyed rattles snakes and get themselves bitten, for they have committed some sins and must purify themselves with some venom.” Shammy told Shera’s mother that they should probably go to Colorado and do as the voice from the sky said. Shera’s mother flatly denied saying that if they did that they’d all be dead, and there was no use listening to voices in the sky, as they were not the best of advisers. Shera’s mother then came up with an idea and said, “ I know what this spoilt boy needs. He needs a big blow to his head, to shake up things a little.” So Shera’s mother hit him hard with a wooden stick, and Shera fell down to the ground. Shera screamed, “What the hell! I am being attacked by aliens. Help me!” and he fell back into the ground and said, “Maybe you guys should’ve gotten yourselves bitten by the blue-eyed rattle snakes. You mean parents.”
So it became clear to Shera’s parents that he’d been acting out all this time, trying to get their attention and they gave another blow to Shera’s head and he became normal again, the little kangaroo who loved to jump so much that he’d jump more than his father.
