Legend has it, that one morning a penguin gave birth to two babies. Her name was Edda, and she was delighted to have the babies. She wanted to celebrate the birth of her babies, and so she planned to throw a party. She asked her brother, Mike to invite other animals to her party. The very next day, Mike went around in the cold searching for animals to invite. There was a white furry fox walking by. The fox was very proud of the fact that she had a beautiful fur and that it only accentuated her already beautiful body. Her name was Foxie Hart and she had the history of many lovers because she was strikingly stunning. She also had a twin brother named Roxie Hart, he too was quite the debonair male fox and also had a history of lovers. However Roxie was too tired of being loved only for his looks and he traveled away into solitary confinement in search of reality. When Mike looked at Foxie walking by, he thought what an exceptional young female and he dared to ask her to come to his sister’s party. Foxie snapped at Mike saying, “Have you looked at me? I am sure you have, But did you look close enough? I dont think so, and that is why you didn’t realize that I am the most beautiful fox around here, and you, you a stupid looking penguin have the nerves to ask me, the very vivacious Foxie Hart to your stupid party? How dare you ?” and she then walked away leaving Mike broken hearted.
Mike walked for a little longer and saw that Roxie Hart was walking towards him, he couldn’t believe it, did he actually see Roxie Hart returning home? Indeed. Roxie Hart had come home. Mike thought of asking Roxie to come to his sister’s party. So he did. However, Roxie declined the invitation saying, “I am a saint now, and you, a stupid penguin think of inviting me to your stupid party? How dare you ?”. This really hurt Mike but he still didn’t give up as he thought that at least someone would accept the invitation and come to Edda’s party.
Mike saw a polar bear coming towards him, and so he decided to ask the polar bear to come to the party. The polar bear replied, “I am the rarest of the rare polar bear to be found, I am beautiful, white, and furry, and you, you stupid penguin think that I would come to your stupid party? How dare you ?” . Mike felt that something fishy was going on, as he had been rejected on the same basis, not twice, but thrice. He decided to follow the polar bear and after walking for some time, he found out that it was Foxie and Roxie who were disguised as the polar bear. This really shocked him and he didn’t expect this atleast from Roxie who had now become a saint. He decided to confront them. He asked them, “How can you do this to me Roxie, I thought you were a saint!” then Roxie replied, “Come on pal, being a saint doesn’t mean you have to lose your sense of humour, take it easy man. I just thought Foxie’s plan was funny.” to which Mike said, “It is unacceptable to hurt someone and then laugh at them”. Foxie budged in and said,”It is a cruel world, sorry…”
Mike never returned home, his little heart could not bear the shock, out in the cold, his body froze to death. When Edda heard of his tragic death, she was really angry and heart broken and therefore decided to move to the South Pole, because she had had enough of the cruel North Pole. And that my dear friends is the reason that penguins live in the South Pole.
